Wedding details: A “rouge” mountain wedding isn’t for every couple. But, for the adventurous Shiela and Nick - its PERFECT! Planning weddings at the Maroon Bells, if you don’t have the amphitheater booked, can be a little tricky. We waited until after you can drive in through the gates (instead of taking the required shuttle). There is a secret secluded spot off of a trail where you and your guests can gather around to do an exchange of vows. After the cermeony, guests returned to Aspen to celebrate at a restaurant featuring an outdoor patio. As Van Morrison sings, “There’ll be days like this!" I cut my teeth at Keystone Resort in their wedding department, then then ventured on to planning corporate meetings.
