World class ski destinations are accustomed to visitors and easily accessed from Denver International Airport (DIA) by driving along the I-70 corridor:  This is where you find the famous Sapphire Point Overlook  But, if that's too busy for you, there are many other spots around Vail, Beaver Creek, Avon, Keystone, Frisco, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Winter Park, and Grand Lake boast views, lakes and mountain passes.

Do we need a permit to get married in the Colorado mountains?

Yes, almost all public lands, national parks, and open spaces in Colorado require a special use permit to hold a wedding ceremony, even for just an elopement. The good news? Navigating this red tape is part of our expertise. We handle the location logistics and ensure you are legally permitted for your chosen spot so you don't have to worry about a thing.

What should we consider when booking a vacation rental house for our wedding?

If you plan to use a mountain home for lodging or a casual dinner, you must make sure the host explicitly allows events. Including Dogs & Pets

Can we bring our dog to our Colorado micro-wedding or elopement?

Yes, absolutely! Colorado is incredibly dog-friendly, and we love four-legged wedding guests. However, you must pick a ceremony location that allows pets on trails, keep them on a leash according to local rules, and assign a dedicated "dog handler" for the day. Can our dog legally sign our Colorado marriage license?

It actually depends! While Colorado allows self-solemnization, some courthouses that previously allowed dog paw prints as witness signatures are changing their rules. If your specific courthouse doesn't allow it, we have a fun workaround: simply make a copy of your marriage license for your pup to "sign" with a paw-safe ink pad as a keepsake, and return the clean, legal original back to the courthouse!

The choice is entirely yours! We provide a wonderful network of talented, local officiants you can choose from. Plus, I (Wendee) am an ordained minister and love officiating ceremonies!
