1.5 Hour Elopement PackageThis is a great place to start if you are looking for something short, sweet and simple. It includes the officiant, photographer, florals for the couple, a tiny cake cake and a personable onsite coordinator - all at one spot, the ceremony site. We do bring a Bluetooth speaker, and setup the cake on a small table, bringing service supplies. All you bring are yourself, the bubbly, rings & your license!
|
3 or 3.5 Hour Elopement PackageThis is perfect if you plan to have a few guests, or you simply want a relaxed elopement day. The photographer and coordinator meet you at your lodging for a few dressing and details shots. We go with you out to the ceremony site where we meet the officiant for the vows. Post wedding, there is time to capture amazing photos around the gorgeous elopement sites. Then, we head to the restaurant where we do a ceremonial cutting-of-the-cake, do a few cheers before you are seated for dinner.
|
Hybrid Elopement PackageThis is Wendee's favorite Colorado elopement service, combining the 1.5 and 3/3.5 for a 2/2.5 hour package. This includes some getting ready photos, a first look, and then caravanning out to the ceremony site where we meet the officiant. Post ceremony, you can pop some bubbly, cut the cake and serve-up a mini celebration. There is usually some time do go with the photographer around the area before we end our service, after which you can go to a restaurant on your own.

Kristin + Josh: A Colorado Elopement Package in AugustWendee and her team of vendors were amazing! After Covid caused multiple reschedules, my fiance and I decided an elopement in the Colorado mountains just the two of us would be perfect. Living in AZ we weren't familiar with the best places or vendors. Wendee made it so easy! We easily communicated via email and were able to use her list of vendors to plan the perfect day. The day of coordinator made everything smooth to set up and execute the ceremony. Beautiful location, photos, memories. We couldn't have imagined a more perfect day. Thank you!

Rebekah + Ed: Elopement Package in the Colorado Mountains in SeptemberMe and my husband used Custom Weddings of Colorado for our elopement wedding. It was a very rouge wedding/area in Breckenridge, Co. Wendee worked with us for 5 months to help me us understand the process and always answered my email questions. Custom Weddings of Colorado (Wendee) is so incredibly organized! She sends you agendas to let you know step by step how your wedding day will go. They make it as simple as possible for you. When they say you only need to bring your marriage license, rings and vows, they are not kidding. They supplied our wedding cake to cutting knives and everything else in between. We told them what colors we wanted for the wedding cake, bouquet and boutonniere and it happened. At the wedding site we worked with Celine (coordinator), and she was a delight to work with. She has an extremely bubbly personality and is very people oriented. Was ready for anything that we may have thrown at her for suggestion and very accommodating. We would highly recommend Custom Weddings of Colorado for any wedding needs!!!! If we could give more that 5 stars, we would!!!!

What counts as an elopement? There are many terms our there regarding small weddings. And, here's how we've broken it down:
Can we self-solemnize or bring our own officiant?YES! In fact, in Colorado you can self-solemnize. Meaning, you don't have to even have an officiant marry you. You can do it yourselves! And, you can bring your own officiant. We simply deduct that portion out of the package. If you are interested in reading more, checkout this article about the Colorado marriage license.
Do you have to hike to an elopement site?Absolutely not! In fact, many of the element sites we recommend are easy to access, both for your and your guests. Some of them are even wheel-chair accessible. That way, you can enjoy getting ready in the comfort of your own lodging, and then be back to down in time for a nice dinner celebration at a local restaurant. Though, if you are the adventurous couple who wants to hike, please reach out to Wendee as your options are endless and she can customize a package for you with hiking considerations (weather, trail conditions, snacks, supplies, etc.). Bottom line though: most our elopements are smooth, easy, simple and relaxing.
How many guests can we have at an elopement? Our elopement packages are designed for just the couple on up to eight guests. If you have more than eight guests, we offer a small intimate wedding package.
Can you help with the getting-ready?Yes! In fact, if you'd like to do some getting ready photos and a first look, we recommend a hybrid package or a 3/3.5 hour package. We can even logistically plan for a first-look between the two of you.
I want great florals and I have ideas in mind. That is great! All of our florals are custom made. You send us 3 or 4 inspiration photos (they should all be similar in color/style) and then we create a styleboard for you. It also helps to have photos of your attire, yourselves and a cake that you like. We then give those photos to our florist and baker who custom designs styles unique to your. No two weddings are ever the same!
Do you do LGBTQ+ elopements?Yes, ..... and, so do our vendors. You don't have to worry as we guide you through personalized options. To us, it doesn't matter who you love, just as long as kindness, happiness and commitment to each other are at the heart of your relationship.
How does the elopement process work?We make the planning easy and stress-free with providing you years of experience and expert guidance. It goes in waves. Of course, the first step is to book and elopement package, which is also synchronized with picking the date and ceremony site. If you are struggling with sites, we recommend booking the Getting Started Colorado Site Report (the fee is deducted from the final payment of a package. After booking a package, we move into securing your photographer and officiant, that you choose from our vendor network. Wendee then works up your logistics, providing you with guidance on restaurants, lodging and hair/makeup. Wendee dos give you small bites of with "homework" that are broken-down into easy, focused tasks - just one or two at a time so as not to overwhelm. Once that is established, the custom designed florals and cake can begin - simply email us images. Finally, we put the finishing touches on your elopement with details like walk-in & kiss songs, getting ready, and confirmations to all the vendors.
Can we have an MOH & BM at an elopement?YES! Even some of our elopement couples with a few guests like to have an MOH and BM. This happens a lot with blended families, in order to honor the kids. We like to make sure to order a bouquet and boutonniere for them. And, what's really fun is to have your pup as the guest of honor (complete with a matching floral collar), whom can also sign the marriage license with their paw print!
What do you do for a weather back-up?The good thing is that in 12+year of offering this elopement-style package, we've only had to use a weather back-up site about 4 times! A typcial weather pattern for the spring & summer in Colorado is a late afternoon thunderstorm. We can usually wait it out for 15-30 minutes, and it will clear. The fall weather is more dry and predicable, but that isn't to say there won't be freakish weather that rolls through. Again, it is sually quick and we can wait it out. Winter weather is something different: our elopement couples that plan the outdoor winter wedding usually have a unique spirit. They get married wearing capes and snowboots in the natural beauty of snow... and we love it! Here are some options that we often consider in case it just looks like the weather will be socked-in for the wedding day:
