Their Story: “We met in 2015 at orientation of a company we both worked at after college in Dallas, TX . We were friends for a year before starting to date. Hayden was transferred to work in Denver, so our relationship began and survived 2 years of long distance Dallas-Denver flights before Hayden took a job back in Dallas. We were looking for a chance to involve our families in a small wedding celebration. After being in countless weddings for friends, I did not want to replicate the huge weddings where so much energy goes into the details that no one remembers. I liked the idea of something small and intimate with just close family. We both spent so much time in Colorado that we love the area and it's a prefect halfway point for our families." Wedding Details: Kristi & Hayden first started working with us through the Ceremony Site Report where they identified priorities as (1) having ceremony spot that has scenic mountain views, (2) celebrating at a great restaurant after the ceremony, (3) seating at the ceremony venue, and (4) to create & say their own vows. Check, check, check and check! First, the couple decided on Sapphire Point as their micro-wedding venue where we were able to setup benches for their guests. They incorporated their personalities into the ceremony by doing a peanut-butter and jelly sandwich unity. Though-out the planning, since they only had nine guests, they decided they wanted to spend more time at this gorgeous. So, we setup the cake at Sapphire Point, they brought the bubbly, and the guests ate dessert (cake and macarons!) first while the couple did some dancing. Though we ended our package at the the venue, the group returned to the vacation house they had rented where a personal chef was waiting with a custom made meal. [Note: it is optional to add-on extra hours of service if you’d like for us to stay and document the evening.] Tips and Ideas: One of the best things about July weddings in Colorado is the weather. It does not get too hot or too cold. So, Kristi + Hayden were able to maximize their time at this gorgeous ceremony spot with cake service and dancing BEFORE the dinner. With our packages, we are able to setup cake service for micro-weddings with up to 20 guests. And yes, we bring service supplies such as cake stands, cutting utensils, china plates (eclectic vintage), silverware, napkins, trash/clean-up. Behind the ScenesEver wonder what goes on behind-the-scenes of a micro-wedding day? Jaime L. Barba, one of our talented professional photographers, captured me at work from one of our May 2023 weddings in Boulder, Colorado. Enjoy! .... and yes, she does wedding-day content creation (a great alternative if you cannot afford videography) for couples as well as photography.
Content CreationWhat is a wedding day content creator? It’s someone who is there on your wedding day taking pictures on a cell phone (or in Jaime's case, her professional equipement), documenting behind-the-scenes moments, capturing and telling stories, and delivering short-form media content of your wedding day in real-time.
