Their Story: “We both work from home and are currently in school. My cousin introduced us about 3 years ago and we love to travel. We got engaged April 2022 in San Diego, California. We don't want the stress of planning of big wedding so decided to have something small and intimate.” Planning Details: We couldn’t agree more that big weddings can be stressful! We think that a small, simple Colorado wedding is perfect for keeping it fun, gorgeous, unique, down-to-earth, and with just the right elements to make it feel like a wedding. Our Colorado small weddings are designed so that you can enjoy spending quality time with your closest family and friends. Danielle and Salim started working with us just four months in advance of their June 2023 wedding by using our Ceremony Site Report which is a great place to get started as it is a written consultation in which we not only provide great affordable ceremony site that fit with couples needs, budget, and priorities….. but, we also give planning guidance to make it all flow well. They identified their top priorities as having a scenic mountain views, lodging nearby, dog-friendly, great photography, seating at the site, and to have an onsite coordinator. Check, check and check! ⬇️ 🎉 Of course, I’m biased, but I think our Colorado small wedding packages in the mountains are picturesque (honestly, we specialize in finding small wedding sites with a view)! They started out their planning thinking they would have 20 guests. Its natural to have a couple fall-off and they ended up with 17 guests + the two of them for 19 people total! They decided to exchange vows at Sunrise Amphitheater, located on Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder, on a Sunday which is an easy destination to get to if you are flying in to Denver International Airport. Danielle and Salim's wedding day was the epitome of intimacy and natural beauty, set against the panoramic views of Flagstaff Mountain and Sunrise Amphitheater in Boulder, Colorado. With a small gathering of 17 cherished guests, every detail from the bridal preparations—meticulously created by Rachel with Wise Artistry and photographer Andrea Flanagan—to the emotional "First Look" at Chautauqua Park, was imbued with personal touch and private moments. They then transported to Lost Gulch Overlook for couple-only photos—an incredibley scenic prelude to the heartfelt vows that would follow. As guests arrived at the picturesque Sunrise Amphitheater, Salim waited with the officiant, a close family member. for Danielle's entrance, escorted by her father to the dulcet tones of Francesco Parrino's piano cover of "Can’t Help Falling in Love". Concluding the cermeony, their love sealed with a kiss, celebrated with the joyous melody of "Here Comes the Sun," also a piano rendition by Parrino, clearly resonated with the surrounding hills. Post cermeony and after the group photos, the newlyweds’ arrival at Flagstaff House Restaurant, which was marked by a ceremonial cake cutting outdoors on the patio and underneath the Colorado sky. Speeches from loved ones, including Andrea, Danielle’s brother Oved, Salim's mother Edith, and Danielle's mother Lisa, punctuated the evening with laughter and tears, as much a feast for the heart as the seated dinner was for the senses. The end of photography and coordination that day did not signify the end of memories; instead, it marked the beautiful beginning of Danielle and Salim's journey together—captured in time, surrounded by closest friends and family, and nestled in the embrace of the majestic Flatirons. [Informational details: this was a four-hour package, 19 people, with an overall budget of $12,000 - reach out to Wendee to book yours today.] The wedding's cake, a tasteful and symbolic embodiment of a couple's sweet love, stood proudly with its two-tiered horizontal texture. The top tier, a white cake ensconced with simply sweetened whipped cream, offered a delicately rich experience. Beneath it, the bottom tier enticed the senses with a harmonious blend of white cake, a heart of raspberry preserves, and an embrace of luxurious white chocolate mousse. Mirroring the cake's confection's grace were the florals, which adhered to a style of simplicity, minimalism, yet undeniable sophistication. Steering away from the vivacity of bright colors, the arrangements favored a serene palette of whites and greens, reflecting the serene joy of the occasion. The groom's boutonniere, a match to the bride's bouquet and cake's floral garnish, stood as a subtle testament to the thoughtful design weaving through each aspect of their day. Behind the ScenesEver wonder what goes on behind-the-scenes of a micro-wedding day? Jaime L. Barba, one of our talented professional photographers, captured me at work from one of our May 2023 weddings in Boulder, Colorado. Content CreationWhat is a wedding day content creator? It’s someone who is there on your wedding day taking pictures on a cell phone (or in Jaime's case, her professional equipement), documenting behind-the-scenes moments, capturing and telling stories, and delivering short-form media content of your wedding day in real-time.
