Thier Story: "We met on Facebook Dating; a former leader was our mutual connection. We each reported to him at different companies. We met on Leap Day 2020 and went bowling on our first date. We're thinking small, Colorado wedding because we love an adventure, want beautiful pictures, and know a destination will help keep the guest list to nearest and dearest."
Micro-Wedding Package & Planning. When it comes to planning the perfect elopement-styled wedding, the setting is everything. And can you think of a more dreamy location than the picturesque mountains of Colorado? LeeAnn and Bradley knew they wanted a breathtaking backdrop for their special day, and we were thrilled to help them find it. Using our Ceremony Site Report, we were able to identify the ideal affordable venue that met all their needs. From scenic mountain views to great photography, seating for their 35 guests, and even BYO officiant, we made sure everything flowed smoothly on their micro-wedding day. Estes Park proved to be the perfect choice for this couple, and we couldn't be happier with the results. At Custom Weddings of Colorado, we specialize in finding small wedding and elopement sites with a view, and LeeAnn and Bradley's ceremony was no exception.
LeeAnn + Bradley's Micro-Wedding Day: LeeAnn and Bradley’s micro-wedding day in Estes Park, Colorado was nothing short of magical and memorable. The day kicked off with hair and makeup with Megan at Estes Park Bridal Co. Everyone who was helping the couple get ready was dressed and ready to go, and they wasted no time taking details shots and dressing the bride. The bride’s dress had lots of buttons, so we made sure to bring a crochet hook as it would take some time. The groom and his mom met up with the photographer to pin boutonnieres before the first look. The couple had a private first look, only with their photographer, before taking a few pre-wedding family-friend photos. They then departed for Overlook Chapel, where the wedding ceremony took place at YMCA of the Rockies. The groom was on the deck with the officiant, eagerly awaiting the bride's arrival. The ceremony kicked off with the instrumental of “Bless the Broken Road” by Cris John Fernel. After the wedding, it was time to celebrate! They signed the marriage license, took group photos, and then guests were transported to The Dunraven Restaurant. The bride and groom made their grand entrance, followed by simple speeches that had a two-minute limit, and cutting of the cake. It was truly a day to remember!

I've been planning weddings since 1995 when I moved to Colorado from Iowa. I cut my teeth at Keystone Resort in their wedding department, then then ventured on to planning corporate meetings. But, I kept helping friends and their friends with weddings starting my first full-service company in 2002 (yes - planned the big overwhelming ones). In 2012 with the birth of my son, values shifted and I decided to go small, intimate and meaningful. Please connect with me to make your dreamy, simple mountain wedding come true!
Behind the Scenes
Ever wonder what goes on behind-the-scenes of a micro-wedding day? Jaime L. Barba, one of our talented professional photographers, captured me at work from one of our May 2023 weddings in Boulder, Colorado. Enjoy! .... and yes, she does wedding-day content creation (a great alternative if you cannot afford videography) for couples as well as photography.
What is a wedding day content creator? It’s someone who is there on your wedding day taking pictures on a cell phone (or in Jaime's case, her professional equipement), documenting behind-the-scenes moments, capturing and telling stories, and delivering short-form media content of your wedding day in real-time.
