Their Story: “Mark and I met in April 2020 during the height of the pandemic. We enjoy spending our free time outside staying active. We decided on a small mountain wedding as we love the mountains and wanted to keep the day more on the intimate side. We want to get married in on of our favorite places with just our closest friends and family” Wedding Details: We started working with Amy and Mark through our ceremony site report at about 10 months prior to their wedding date. They wanted outdoorsy scenic mountain views with vendors that are accustomed to same-sex couples to honor their guests, great photography and an intimate ceremony. They ended up settling on Panorama Point at Golden Gate Canyon State Park, which since their wedding, has been taken off their approved wedding venues. So, sadly, this is the last wedding that we’ll be able to do at this wonderful overlook. And, yes - you need a PERMIT to do any kind of ceremony, no matter if it is an elopement in Colorado State Parks. If you’d like to explore other ceremony sites, please reach out to me! The day was amazing with gorgeous flowers that featured a matching floral crown, amazing weather, and a super sweet officiant (me!). Yes, did you know that I also occasionally perform ceremonies for couples? I do have a ceremony script writing guide and would be happy to officiate your ceremony. But, for our couples ONLY, if you want to script your own ceremony and have a family or friend perform it, that is totally legit in Colorado. Here is an article to read if you have questions about the Colorado Marriage License. Tips and Ideas: We see a lot of couples who want a family or friend perform their ceremony. It may be their first, second or multiple times officiating, but here are some tips to remember:

Behind the ScenesEver wonder what goes on behind-the-scenes of a micro-wedding day? Jaime L. Barba, one of our talented professional photographers, captured me at work from one of our May 2023 weddings in Boulder, Colorado. Enjoy! .... and yes, she does wedding-day content creation (a great alternative if you cannot afford videography) for couples as well as photography.
Content CreationWhat is a wedding day content creator? It’s someone who is there on your wedding day taking pictures on a cell phone (or in Jaime's case, her professional equipement), documenting behind-the-scenes moments, capturing and telling stories, and delivering short-form media content of your wedding day in real-time. Checkout one from our September 2023 weddings ⬇️.
