Their Story: “Jake and I met about 3 years ago. We had our first date at beer garden in Michigan. After dating for about two years, we got engaged on a trip to Yellowstone National Park. We love nature and traveling. We wanted a small mountain wedding so we can celebrate with our closest friends and family and have special memories with them and each other on this trip to Colorado." Wedding Details: Shannon had found our website online while searching for small intimate weddings in the mountains. One of our galleries (Christina + Shaun) envisioned everything that she wanted: outdoors, mountain views, overlooking a lake, small, and in nature that could accommodate her group of 25 people. So, we jumped right in and started the planning. One of our favorite things about their wedding was her flowers, which were colorful but not entirely neon-bright. It is easy to gravitate towards neutrals, like beige and blush - but trust us - that can looks a little “blah” in a natural environment. If you want your photos to have personality, adding little color helps them “pop”. The colors in her florals is just right for a summer wedding in the outdoors Tips and Ideas: Sapphire Point is mostly peaceful. Though, it is located off of a trail on the National Forest Service property. You will have hikers and users of the area. But, when people see there is a wedding ceremony going on, they either turn around or tiptoe around the back. Plus, we put a sign out saying “Thank you for your quiet courtesy” (yes - this is standard in our services). So, we don’t really have any issues with any hiker-wedding-crashers. Since it is public lands, you can’t block other users from accessing it, though it is reservable so that no other group uses the site. The booking can be competitive - it is all online - and we give you instructions on how to do it. If you re interested in this site for a wedding, we recommend reading this full article about how to plan a Sapphire Point wedding. Behind the ScenesEver wonder what goes on behind-the-scenes of a micro-wedding day? Jaime L. Barba, one of our talented professional photographers, captured me at work from one of our May 2023 weddings in Boulder, Colorado. Enjoy! .... and yes, she does wedding-day content creation (a great alternative if you cannot afford videography) for couples as well as photography.
Content CreationWhat is a wedding day content creator? It’s someone who is there on your wedding day taking pictures on a cell phone (or in Jaime's case, her professional equipement), documenting behind-the-scenes moments, capturing and telling stories, and delivering short-form media content of your wedding day in real-time.
