Amanda + Cesar  |  A small intimate wedding at Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado Springs8/13/2022 Their Story: “We decided a small wedding because we want our people there. We don’t like a big fuss. We like more low key intimate meaningful things in life. We decided Colorado because that’s where we got engaged so it holds a special place in our heart! We would like an outdoor ceremony with just our parents and siblings to share this special moment with us, then a nice dinner afterwards.” Wedding Details: Amanda and Cesar started off working with using our Ceremony Site Report. Since their priorities were to have an outdoor ceremony in a unique setting, easy to access with and wheelchair with a short walk, they settled on Garden of the Gods Park near Colorado Springs. Throughout their planning Amanda mentioned they are not very glitzy or glam, but are more of a boho chic style with earthy tones. She settled on more terra cotta colors with rustic dried elements for florals - and yes! Our florist does dry her own flowers. She often incorporates some dried elements when the couple requests it in their styling - and, Amanda wanted more than a few. We love this combination! Tips and Ideas: We love it when we can connect with couples in the beginning phases of planning a wedding. Amanda and Cesar started off with our ceremony site report. They identified a budget of $10,000 with is totally doable with intentional planning and decisions. Luckily, they had not booked a venue and decided on Garden of the Gods Park which is a FREE site. When booking parks on public lands, make sure that you know their regulations. Many of them when will be the same, but other spots like Garden of the Gods will allow for weddings at designated spots ONLY! Also, they do require planners and photographer to get the proper approval and permits, which we do include in the package price. Other regulations to consider that are quite common on public lands:
There are other budgeting tips that we can recommend to stick within $10,000 for a small micro-wedding:

Behind the ScenesEver wonder what goes on behind-the-scenes of a micro-wedding day? Jaime L. Barba, one of our talented professional photographers, captured me at work from one of our May 2023 weddings in Boulder, Colorado. Enjoy! .... and yes, she does wedding-day content creation (a great alternative if you cannot afford videography) for couples as well as photography.
Content CreationWhat is a wedding day content creator? It’s someone who is there on your wedding day taking pictures on a cell phone (or in Jaime's case, her professional equipement), documenting behind-the-scenes moments, capturing and telling stories, and delivering short-form media content of your wedding day in real-time.
