Their Story: “We want to get remarried to each other, forever this time.” Yes, we work with many couples getting married the second+ time. And occasionally we have a couple that re-marries each other…. again - true love! “I’m an artist with an easygoing artist personality. Neil is an engineer. We are completely the opposite. Probably why we got divorced. I think Neil has finally figured out my free spirited personality! We’ve decided to go to Colorado to re-marry!!! I’m thinking Mountain View’s with water in the background!!! Beautiful landscapes. Also if there is still snow caps.…I’m all for that in the pictures. I’m super excited!” Wedding Details: originally Emily and Neil, who are from Alabama and Georgia, had settled on getting married at Blue Lake which is south of Breckenridge. Blue Lake is quite a rugged destination to get to and it is more “rogue” - in our terms, that means there is no official booking of it. But after giving it more thought, they decided they would rather be closer to Denver/Colorado Springs where they have close family. For unique geography, they decided on Roxborough State Park for their small intimate wedding package of 12 guests. They found a vacation house in Littleton, Colorado (a suburb outside of Denver) for their lodging in which everyone stayed. For the ceremony, even though the site is a good 10 to 15 minute easy walk on a wide crushed gravel trail, the Rangers do have a golf cart to transport the bride and/or other guests who have mobility challenges. Since a blue Larkspur, a wildflower often found in Colorado, has a special meaning to her, we used it for floral and cake design inspiration. Other florals we mixed in roses and other Colorado wildflowers with pinks, blue and purples with accent colors of white, yellow and peaches. We always bring matching florals to decorate the cake which had gold foil to reflect Emily’s glamorous side. Tips and Ideas: For getting married at a State Park, or any public lands like National Parks and National Forests, know that though you can reserve a spot, it does have to remain open to the public (tax payers. Read through their regulations. Most of them will be similar such as.….

Behind the ScenesEver wonder what goes on behind-the-scenes of a micro-wedding day? Jaime L. Barba, one of our talented professional photographers, captured me at work from one of our May 2023 weddings in Boulder, Colorado. Enjoy! .... and yes, she does wedding-day content creation (a great alternative if you cannot afford videography) for couples as well as photography.
Content CreationWhat is a wedding day content creator? It’s someone who is there on your wedding day taking pictures on a cell phone (or in Jaime's case, her professional equipement), documenting behind-the-scenes moments, capturing and telling stories, and delivering short-form media content of your wedding day in real-time. Checkout one from our September 2023 weddings ⬇️.
