Their Story: "Billy and I have been together for nine years! We decided to cancel our large wedding for many reasons. Some of them were that it was very stressful to plan such a big event, we were spending money that could be used in a better way, and it was becoming more about everyone else and less about us. We love Colorado it’s a place that we have vacationed multiple times before. It’s truly magical and when I think of my “dream wedding” it’s in the mountains surrounded by the people who love us most.” We couldn’t agree more that a Colorado mountain backdrop is a dreamy setting for a small simple wedding, which is why we offer the intimate wedding package - making it easy and stress-free. We are so glad to have connected with Samantha and Billy, who traveled from New York, for their October micro-wedding with 30 of their closest friends and family members. 🎉 Planning Details: We first started working with Samantha and Billy when they connected with use through our Ceremony Site Report which is a great place to get started as it is a written consultation in which we not only provide great affordable ceremony site that fit with couples needs, budget, and priorities….. but, we also give planning guidance to make it all flow well. They identified their top priorities as having a scenic mountain views for the ceremony and a carefree, stress-free planning experience, and an easy flow to the day. Check, check and check! 🎉 Of course, I’m biased, but I think our Colorado wedding packages in the mountains are picturesque (honestly, we specialize in finding small wedding sites with a view)! And, with our small intimate wedding package, you get an onsite coordinator who not only assists with pickup & deliveries of cake and flowers, 🍰 🌸 (and aren't these ⬇️ AMAZING?!!!) but she also brings a Bluetooth speaker to play ceremony music and is with you throughout the service working behind-the-scenes for the couple, their wedding party and guests to ensure the day flows smoothly. The day started at a VRBO vacation house where Samantha and her bridesmaids got ready. Wendee's planning made sure everything was set for the big day, including having all the bride's items laid out for the photographer to capture. Meanwhile, Billy and his mom met with the photographer outside to pin on his boutonniere. Before the ceremony, the couple had a private "first look" moment captured by the photographer. Soon after, they headed to Sapphire Point for the ceremony. The views at Sapphire Point were breathtaking, and it was the perfect backdrop for the wedding ceremony. Samantha's dad escorted her down the aisle to Sleeping at Last's cover of "500 Miles," and the couple exchanged vows in front of a picturesque mountain range. The ceremony ended with a kiss and exit song of "Living Proof" by Gregory Alan Isakov. After the ceremony, the newlyweds took some breathtaking photos around Sapphire Point while their guests were transported to Hearthstone for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. With the help of their coordinators, Samantha and Billy headed to the restaurant, where they did their ceremonial cake cutting, and some emotional speeches took place among loved ones. Samantha and Billy's wedding was truly a fairytale come true, made possible by our fantastic team at Custom Weddings of Colorado. From the stunning scenery to the thoughtful details, it was a day full of love and joy. This all-inclusive Colorado Wedding Package was the perfect way to make sure Samantha and Billy's wedding day was everything they ever dreamed of. Behind the ScenesEver wonder what goes on behind-the-scenes of a micro-wedding day? Jaime L. Barba, one of our talented professional photographers, captured me at work from one of our May 2023 weddings in Boulder, Colorado. Enjoy! .... and yes, she does wedding-day content creation (a great alternative if you cannot afford videography) for couples as well as photography.
Content CreationWhat is a wedding day content creator? It’s someone who is there on your wedding day taking pictures on a cell phone (or in Jaime's case, her professional equipement), documenting behind-the-scenes moments, capturing and telling stories, and delivering short-form media content of your wedding day in real-time. Checkout one from our September 2023 weddings ⬇️.
