Katie + Scott
Micro-Wedding Elopement Package | Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, October 2020
Their story: “We chose Lake Copeland in Rocky Mountain National Park because of its beauty and that it's in our favorite area. We had vacationed in Colorado in October of 2019 and immediately fell in love with it. We met 2016 at Katie's uncle's house when we were moving he and his wife. When I saw Katie walking towards the house, I knew immediately I had to find out about her. We've been together ever since. We got engaged on December 12, 2019 at our house by our Christmas tree. It was spur of the moment as I had no actual date planned yet. Katie is pretty good at sniffing surprises out, so I winged it and asked her that night."
Wedding details: Katie + Scott originally planned a wedding for 25 people inside Rocky Mountain National park at one of their lake venue. As the uncertainty with COVID continued over the summer, they decided to scale it down and simply elope. Since they wanted to maximize time with the photographer (and restaurants were sketch at the time with bringing outside cake into their venues), we decided to do cake and cocktails at the ceremeony spot. This allowed them time to go with the photographer to other sites and trails around the park for some amazing photos.... as you can see! Early October (nothing past the 1st week though) is PERFECT timing for peak yellows of the aspen trees at this elevation (go earlier if at higher elevations).
