Abby + Madison
Grand Lake, Colorado Small Vacation House Wedding Package | Grand Lake, Colorado in August 2020
Their story: “Madison and I met at a brewery in Denver and have been together 2.5 years. We both love to explore and love the outdoorsy lifestyle of being Coloradans—we ski, hike, visit parks all the time.... and I would love to incorporate the scenery of the state into our wedding. Madison is from Texas and most of his family still lives there. We’d like to do a small ceremony and dinner in Colorado (immediate family, one friend & plus one each) and throw a reception in Austin next spring for a larger group to be closer to his family and college friends."
Wedding details: Abby and Madison's wedding was one for the bittersweet memory book: the incredible vacation house in which they hosted their weekend celebration burnt down just two months after their wedding in the tragic East Troublesome Fires. Our hearts go out to the family who owned the home; fortunately, everyone made it out safely. Needless to say, the pictures of their epic day are priceless. Everything speaks mountain-glam from the gorgeous dress to rich florals. Because it was August of 2020, they held a socially-distanced wedding where we spaced out our wooden benches, and which also ironically made for some artistic photo opportunities - including a canoe ride on a private lake (dreamy)! Also unique: because the couple did a first-look, they walked-in to the ceremony together.
