A Stress-Free Microwedding in the Colorado MountainsAllie + BrockAllie and Brock's love story began in their senior year of college, blossoming over shared adventures which eventually led them to a beautiful micro-wedding in the Colorado mountains. After getting engaged, they explored traditional venues but quickly realized that a big, fussy wedding just wasn't their style. They wanted something that felt true to them: casual, modern, and focused on celebrating with their closest family and friends.
Like many couples, they felt overwhelmed by the idea of planning a large event and wanted to avoid the associated stress and costs. Their vision was simple: a scenic ceremony, a great dinner, and a day that was about their commitment, not about meeting others' expectations. But how do you pull that off, especially when you live out of state? That’s where we came in. |
Finding the Perfect Microwedding Venue |
Living in Minneapolis, Allie and Brock needed a clear, easy way to find the right Colorado location. They discovered our Ceremony Site Report, a service designed to take the guesswork out of small-venue hunting. After they filled out a questionnaire detailing their vision—scenic mountain views, accessibility for their grandparents, and an overall easy and efficient experience—we got to work.
We presented them with a curated list of at least ten different stunning, "off-the-beaten-path" ceremony sites that matched their style, budget, and guest count. The report included everything from photos and permit information to lodging and restaurant recommendations. This saved them countless hours of research and eliminated the pain of navigating unfamiliar territory. Allie and Brock chose Sapphire Point Overlook, a breathtaking and accessible location that perfectly captured their vision. Better yet, the cost of the report was credited back to them when they booked our Intimate Wedding Package. Win-win! |

Once the site was secured, we dove into the details. Our Intimate Wedding Package is a turn-key service designed to make planning effortless. We handle the vendor bookings, coordination, and all the logistical sequencing. For Allie and Brock, this meant they could focus on the fun parts while we managed the behind-the-scenes work. Here’s a glimpse into how their seamless wedding day unfolded:
Morning Prep & Coordination: While Allie and Brock enjoyed a relaxed morning, our team was on the move. Coordinator Wendee and her assistant Elisa picked up the stunning two-tiered cake from La Patisserie Francaise and the gorgeous floral arrangements from Stefanie Hofmeister Design. They headed to the reception restaurant, Sauce on the Maggie, to set up the cake and ensure every detail was in place for the evening celebration. Getting Ready & First Look: The couple got ready separately at a unique boutique lodge where all the family stayed (10-suites), with hair and makeup done at Breckenridge Hair Company. By 2:45 pm, our photographer, Jennifer Garza, arrived at the lodge to capture those special pre-ceremony moments. After Brock was looking sharp, he met the photographer for a few shots before the big reveal. The "first look" was a beautiful, private moment for Allie and Brock to connect, reading each other personal vows, before the ceremony officially began. |

The Ceremony at Sapphire Point: With a guest count of about 30, the couple and their loved ones made their way to Sapphire Point. We ensured the site was ready with a Bluetooth speaker for music—a small but essential detail. As Allie made her entrance, escorted by her stepdad, Brooklyn Duo’s “All of Me” filled the mountain air. After exchanging vows against a stunning backdrop, they sealed their marriage with a kiss as Vitamin String Quartet's "Bittersweet Symphony" played. We even remembered their request for a "no cell phones" sign to ensure guests were fully present.
Post-Ceremony Celebration: The celebrations began immediately with the signing of the marriage license, followed by group and family photos. As guests departed for the restaurant, Allie and Brock stayed behind with the photographer to capture more intimate portraits in the golden hour light. An Intimate Dinner: Guests arrived at Sauce on the Maggie for a relaxed cocktail hour. When Allie and Brock made their entrance, they went straight into a ceremonial cake cutting. After being seated for a delicious dinner, the evening flowed with warmth and genuine connection—no stuffy speeches, just quality time with their favorite people. |
The Little Details That Made It Special |
A micro-wedding doesn't mean skimping on the beautiful details. It means focusing on the elements that are simple, quality and reflect your personality.
