A Mountain Micro-WeddingEmily + JamesSome love stories are quiet epics, unfolding not in grand ballrooms but on sun-drenched mountain tops. Emily and James’s story is one of those. They met in college in Missouri, and after moving to Chicago, they bonded over shared loves: hiking, coffee, good food, and laughter. So, when it came to their wedding, a massive, stressful event just didn't feel right. They dreamed of something different—an intimate day in the mountains, surrounded by their closest people.
They wanted a day that was modern, romantic, and laid-back. Most importantly, they wanted it to be smooth and stress-free. Their vision was simple: to get married in a beautiful mountain spot and share good food and laughs with family. This desire for an easy, efficient, and scenic celebration is what brought them to us. This is the story of how we helped Emily and James create their perfect Colorado micro-wedding, from planning the details to their beautiful "I do's" at Sapphire Point Overlook. |

Once Emily and James decided to work with us, the planning process began. Our goal is always to make it easy and, dare we say, fun! We broke it down into manageable steps, guiding them through each decision without overwhelming them.
First, we helped them land on the perfect ceremony location: Sapphire Point Overlook. With its stunning views of the Dillon Reservoir and the Tenmile Range, it was the ideal backdrop. Since this popular spot books up six months in advance, we helped them strategize to secure a spot in May. With the venue set, we moved on to the vendor team. We have a network of amazing professionals we’ve worked with for years, and we connected Emily and James with some of the best:

Their Micro-Wedding Planning Journey |
Emily + James's Micro-Wedding Day |
On a Sunday in May, all the planning came together for a perfect mountain wedding.
The day began with hair and makeup appointments in Breckenridge. By early afternoon, the photographer, Rebecca, arrived at their VRBO to capture the getting-ready moments. Emily, in her beautiful dress, and James, in his sharp navy suit, had their private "first look" before being joined by immediate family for photos. Then, the couple and their 17 guests arrived at Sapphire Point Overlook. The short walk to the ceremony site was filled with anticipation. At 3:30 p.m., with the mountain peaks as witness, the ceremony began. Emily was escorted by her father down the "aisle" to Pachelbel's "Canon in D." After exchanging vows, they joyfully exited to "Sparkle" by Radwimps. Following the ceremony, there were celebrations, the signing of the marriage license, and family photos against the breathtaking scenery. While the guests headed to the restaurant, Emily and James stayed with Rebecca for more photos, taking full advantage of the golden afternoon light. They arrived at the restaurant in Breckenridge around 5:30 p.m. for a ceremonial cake cutting and dinner, officially ending our coordination and their beautifully seamless wedding day. |
