When Soleil and Cameron envisioned their wedding day, they dreamed of an intimate celebration surrounded by close family, friends, and natural beauty. Thanks to meticulous planning, meaningful details, and a breathtaking dog-friendly location in the Colorado mountains, their dream became a reality. Here’s a glimpse into their unforgettable micro-wedding experience with just 18 guests, proving that sometimes small really is mighty. What is a Micro-Wedding?At Custom Weddings of Colorado, we define a micro-wedding as an intimate celebration with 10 to 25 guests. It's the perfect opportunity for couples to focus on meaningful traditions without the added stress of hosting a large crowd. From breathtaking venues to personalized touches, micro-weddings allow couples to celebrate their love with only their closest family and friends. Soleil and Cameron’s micro-wedding in Breckenridge perfectly captured the essence of these intimate gatherings. With only 18 guests, a stunning mountain backdrop, and heartfelt details, their day was a flawless mix of simplicity, elegance, and love. Soleil & Cameron’s Micro-Wedding Day UnfoldsEvery detail of Soleil and Cameron’s wedding day was carefully planned to bring their vision to life. The day began with hair and makeup at their Airbnb, where Soleil was joined by her mother, sister, and close friend. This time spent together set the tone for a relaxed and joyful day. Once Soleil was ready, the couple designed a private first-look moment that added a personal and emotional touch to the day. Set at a secluded spot at their vacation house in Breckenridge with mountians in the backdrop, they exchanged heartfelt personal vows after seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day. It’s these small, intimate moments that make micro-weddings special. The Ceremony on Top a Mountain PassSoleil and Cameron chose a picturesque Mountain Pass for their ceremony, offering stunning views of the mountains and a serene lake setting. To add a unique and meaningful touch, Cameron’s best friend officiated the ceremony, filling the atmosphere with warmth and love. Soleil entered the ceremony area with her father, set to a beautifully choreographed entrance song, “Perfect” by 2 Cellos. The groom stood waiting with the officiant as her two honorary bridesmaids—her sisters—walked in in front of her and the music played. Even their beloved dog was a part of this special moment, reflecting the inclusive and personal nature of this micro-wedding. The couple sealed their vows with a kiss, to the celebratory tune of “Life is a Highway” by Rascal Flatts. Post-Ceremony Micro-Wedding CelebrationsAfter the ceremony, guests gathered around the couple to toast their marriage and sign the marriage license. A highlight of the day? The couple’s decision to pop bubbly and cut the cake right there by the lakeshore. Dessert first—because why not? It was a fun and lighthearted moment that reflected their vibrant personalities. Afterward, guests departed for a nearby vacation house, where a professional chef had prepared a delicious dinner for the evening reception. Soleil and Cameron stayed back for a private photo session in the stunning natural surroundings before joining their guests. Once back at the vacation house, they shared more toasts, laughter, and their first dinner as a married couple. What Made Soleil & Cameron’s Micro-Wedding Day UniqueSoleil and Cameron went above and beyond to infuse their wedding day with thoughtful details and personal touches. These moments stood out as highlights:

Behind the ScenesEver wonder what goes on behind-the-scenes of a micro-wedding day? Jaime L. Barba, one of our talented professional photographers, captured me at work from one of our May 2023 weddings in Boulder, Colorado. Enjoy! .... and yes, she does wedding-day content creation (a great alternative if you cannot afford videography) for couples as well as photography.
Content CreationWhat is a wedding day content creator? It’s someone who is there on your wedding day taking pictures on a cell phone (or in Jaime's case, her professional equipement), documenting behind-the-scenes moments, capturing and telling stories, and delivering short-form media content of your wedding day in real-time.
