Their Story: "David and I live in a little town in Texas where we met and went to college. He stole my heart at a country dance hall. We have two dogs who get most of our attention. We just moved into a new house on the night we got engaged and are working to make it our home. We visited Colorado last summer for the first time and we both loved every second. After starting to plan a traditional wedding here, we decided we would rather spend our money on the people we love the most in a place we both love!” A small summer wedding with heartPlanning Details: We are so glad Colorado made a great impression Macie and David. When it came for them to pivot to planning a small intimate wedding reached out to me through my Ceremony Site Report service - a great place to get started as it is a written consultation in which we not only provide great affordable ceremony options that fit with couples needs, budget, and priorities….. but, we also give planning guidance to make it all flow well. Macie and David identified heir top priorities for their package as having great photography, and onsite coordinator, ceremony music (Bluetooth speaker okay) ….. all reasonably priced. Check, check and check! ⬇️ 🎉With our packages, you get to choose from seven different professional photographers who and experienced with micro-weddings. They know the locale, scenic spots and we work with them regularly…. So that there is an easy and smooth flow on your wedding day. And, with our elopement-styled wedding package, you get an onsite coordinator who not only assists with pickup & deliveries of cake and flowers, but she also brings a Bluetooth speaker to play ceremony music and is with you throughout the service working behind-the-scenes for the couple, their wedding party and guests to ensure the day flows smoothly. Micro-Wedding PlanningMacie and David decided to host their micro-wedding in the heart of the Rocky Mountain: Summit County boasts some of the world’s best ski resorts. But, the only snow present on their wedding day was at the very top peaks of the mountains. July is one of the BEST months to get married: warm summer days, cool crisp nights and the wildflowers tend to be popping. For those worried about it being too hot - that is the beauty of mountain weddings. The low humidity and high elevation make it ideal temperatures. Though, here are a few tips for summertime wedding in the mountains: drink plenty of water, wear lots of sunscreen (and sunglasses), dress in layers and stock up on lip balm and hand lotion. Hey, those sound like great welcome bag ideas….. though we suggest adding some local chocolate and chips to keep energy levels up for the great hiking. Favorite Micro-Wedding DetailsMacie and David also wanted to maintain some traditions: providing seating for guests, not having a first-look, having a site that is accessible for elders and to have a first dance. Yes - all of those things are possible even when having a small micro-wedding.

Behind the ScenesEver wonder what goes on behind-the-scenes of a micro-wedding day? Jaime L. Barba, one of our talented professional photographers, captured me at work from one of our May 2023 weddings in Boulder, Colorado. Enjoy! .... and yes, she does wedding-day content creation (a great alternative if you cannot afford videography) for couples as well as photography.
Content CreationWhat is a wedding day content creator? It’s someone who is there on your wedding day taking pictures on a cell phone (or in Jaime's case, her professional equipement), documenting behind-the-scenes moments, capturing and telling stories, and delivering short-form media content of your wedding day in real-time. Checkout one from our September 2023 weddings ⬇️.
