Crystal + Troy’s Story

Crystal and Troy, both born and raised in Texas, met the modern way—on a dating app. Wanting a wedding where they could truly connect with their closest loved ones, they opted for a small destination wedding. What drew them to Colorado? The sweeping mountain views, crisp fall air, and the promise of an unforgettable “I do” moment in the great outdoors. Troy proposed on December 12, 2022, at Mt. Falcon outside Denver. “Best moment of my life,” he recalls. Inspired by their love for nature and simplicity, the pair selected Sapphire Point Overlook as their ceremony site—a decision rooted in its stunning views and intimate atmosphere.

The Micro-Wedding Planning Process

Crystal + Troy’s priorities for the big day were clear:

Their Micro-Wedding Day Timing

Crystal + Troy tied the knot on a crisp October afternoon, surrounded by fall foliage, warm sun, and amazing views.   Here's how the day unfolded:
Morning Prep:

• Hair & Makeup: The bride got ready with Weemala Beauty at their cozy Airbnb in Silverthorne.
• Photography: The day began with intimate detail shots, including Crystal’s lace gown and Troy’s boutonniere.

The Ceremony at Sapphire Point:

• Guests arrived to the an amazing overlook where we had setup seating (benches) for their comfort. 
• Crystal made her grand entrance, escorted by Sergio, to "Turning Page" by Sleeping at Last.
• Post-vows, the newlyweds kissed and made their first walk as husband and wife to "Best Day of My Life" by American Authors.

Celebration & Dinner: The couple and their guests headed to The VUE in Dillon for cake cutting, toasts, and a warm celebration filled with laughter, love, and community.
Our Favorite Moments:

• Troy’s emotional moment when he saw Crystal walking down the aisle. Cue the happy tears!
• The floral arrangements—boho terracotta tones with dried accents tied everything together beautifully.
• That cake! A two-tiered masterpiece combining sweet raspberry and decadent chocolate mousse.
