Their Story: “David and I met through mutual friends in 2018. We got engaged in August 29, 2022 during our trip to Switzerland- it was on Mt. Pilatus in Lucerne! Some of our favorite things to do together include traveling, staying active (hiking, walking/running, pickle-ball, etc.), trying new restaurants, and hanging out with family and friends. The main reason we decided to have a small destination wedding in Colorado is because we want to be surrounded by our family and the people we love! We also are excited about getting married in the mountains and get easily overwhelmed with the wedding planning to- do list and all the options. Overall, we think we would enjoy the day more with less people and hopefully less stress!” YES! We couldn't agree more that a Colorado Micro-Wedding is one of the most delightful ways to celebrate with your closest people. Annie and David's beautiful micro wedding in Colorado not only captured the essence of their personalities, but it showcases the growing growing trend of intimate weddings. A Peek into Annie and David's Micro-Wedding DayAnnie and David's micro-wedding day was a beautiful reflection of their personalities and values. They began their day at an Airbnb with their 15 guests, who were all family members. The intimate setting allowed for heartfelt moments, such as Annie getting dressed in the living room with all the sisters, moms and grandmother. It allowed for extra space and amazing photos. Dad even got his moments with a father-daughter first look. The couple opted for a first look in the backyard of the vacation house, with parents and grandparents watching from a distance, adding a layer of excitement and anticipation to the day. The group then caravanned to a scenic mountain overlook with stunning views for their ceremony, where a second coordinator had set up benches and a "Wedding in Progress" sign. As part of the entrances, and each set of parents and siblings walked-in to the ceremony area, and then offered David marriage advice before taking their seats. See pictures below ⬇️. This is one way that small tiny wedding can honor their guests. After the ceremony, the group enjoyed popping some bubbly, toasting and dancing on-site to songs that held special meaning for the couple. So, yes - it is possible to incorporate these elements into your wedding day flow. By the time we started our getting ready service to the cutting-of-the-cake at the restaurant (which we do before the group is seated), it was a 4 hour package. With Custom Weddings of Colorado's micro-wedding packages, there is always the option to add-on more time at the beginning with hair/makeup, and at the end if you want the photographer to stay during the meal. Behind the ScenesEver wonder what goes on behind-the-scenes of a micro-wedding day? Jaime L. Barba, one of our talented professional photographers, captured me at work from one of our May 2023 weddings in Boulder, Colorado. Enjoy! .... and yes, she does wedding-day content creation (a great alternative if you cannot afford videography) for couples as well as photography.
Content CreationWhat is a wedding day content creator? It’s someone who is there on your wedding day taking pictures on a cell phone (or in Jaime's case, her professional equipement), documenting behind-the-scenes moments, capturing and telling stories, and delivering short-form media content of your wedding day in real-time. Checkout one from our September 2023 weddings ⬇️.
