Working with Color.  When selecting flowers, start with analyzing the colors of your wedding site and venue.  Pick two main colors to work with and then possibly a third accent color.  For floral design, the more simple the dress the more elaborate the bouquet.  The more elaborate the dress, the more simple the bouquet.  After designing the bouquet and centerpieces, additional color splashes can be added with your linens, purses, shoes, accessories, napkin ring holders, invitations, umbrellas and more!  Pick-up color swatches at your local paint store and keep them in your purse for a quick reference when you are out shopping.  Plus, your bakers, florist and linen designer will enjoy having color tones in which to match.

Wedding Paper & Linens. Paper products and colored linens are often overlooked in planning weddings.  However, this is one area in which the style can be pulled together for a cohesive "look" to your wedding.  Of course, your style starts with the date, time and location of your wedding.  From there, look at your wedding venue for color and style inspirations.  It is always easier and less expensive to pull color and style seen in elements from your wedding venue.
