Let's face it - this economy is tough, especially for those wanting to get married. But, weddings must go on! Below are special offers from vendors and sites who are sensitive to providing couples a quality experience without having to break the bank.

Donate my fee to my high school's newspaper club
Many of you know I teach English & Newspaper (my second career) at a low-income high school
Over 75% of the student population is on free or reduced lunch programs
This means that extracurricular activities such as Newspaper and Yearbook struggle for support & involvement
Many students never have the opportunity to leave the city - they've never been to the mountains!
Thus, we are fundraising for the 2009-10 school year for a May 2010 retreat to YMCA Camp of the Rockies
This will reward students and motivate students for their attendance and performance
$525 limited day-of coordination
One 2-hour meeting: day-of agenda, ceremony processional/recessional
Wendee's 50+page planning guide and vendor referral list
One 3-week out meeting: provide me with copies of service agreements from vendors, review your plans
Confirmation email to vendors: agenda, processional/recessional
Rehearsal coordination: must be after 4:00 pm on school days
Day-of coordination: 5 hours
2.5-hours in advance of wedding
Set-out of supplies (no assembly, decorating)
Ceremony coordination & orchestration
Reception coordination (up your seating for dinner)
Requirements: only good for weddings taking place October - April on Saturdays or Sundays; additional fees apply for wedding parties (B, G, MOH, BM,bridesmaids/groomsmen) over #10 people total; additional fees for receptions taking place at a different site (extra adult assistant). Weddings must take place within 45 miles of Golden, CO. Based on availability. One to two student assistants may be present.

I'll then have the school send you a letter identifying your donation for your taxes!
