Amanda + Greg
Pandemic Micro Wedding Venue | Golden and Boulder, Colorado in July 2020
Their story: “Greg and I met during college through mutual friends. We've been dating for 8 years and have a 2 year old "baby", a Vizsla names Indy. One of our first vacations together was to Colorado and we fell in love with the Denver and Boulder areas. When it came time to plan a wedding, a big extravagant wedding wasn't "us". As we tried to explore options, we decided to search for something in Colorado and came across your site. As we looked at the packages, photos, and testimonials it was clear - this was "us". Although we may have a bigger reception/party in WI after, this seems like the way we should get married.”
Wedding details: We had everything panned for their Boulder, Colorado microwedding when the pandemic hit and closed down their Boulder, CO venue. With enough time from May to the end of July, we found a nearby venue in a different county that would allow for outdoor celebrations of up to #25 guests. This was perfect: 18 guests + a gorgeous couple + 3 vendors + panoramic views of the Continental Divide. Thank you Golden Gate Canyon State Park! Thus, we changed our "normal" format a bit: we held the ceremony in Golden, ate dessert first at the ceremony site, and then got a photography permit to take the couple + photographer (3 people were allowed under restrictions at that time) to Boulder Open Space Mountain Parks for post-celebration photos as Boulder holds special memories for the couple. YESSSSS! We pulled it off and provided a fun, memorable experience for the couple and their guests, and captured memories at a place significant to the couple.
